When booking your ticket, you will be asked to select a time slot. The entire experience takes approximately 30 minutes.

There are no clothing requirements.

Presently there is no food and drink available within the experience however there are many popular cafés, restaurants and pubs in the immediate vicinity of The Giant Experience.

Automobile drivers can avail of hundreds of secure parking spaces within a 5-minute radius of Central Plaza.  The Dublin Bus and Dublinbikes also stop outside the building.

You will be led through The Giant Experience by a trained facilitator who will provide additional information and answer your questions. 

The Giant Experience’s scanning theatre is a state-of-the-art volumetric scanning system that uses over 60 specialised cameras to photograph a 360-degree image of you standing still or moving. A diversity of bespoke software programmes and computers organize these images into a visual mesh which is mapped onto the Giant Head and creates your avatar with which you can use to visit a diversity of virtual environments. 

Avatar comes from the Sanskrit work avatāra. In this context an avatar is the human manifestation of a Hindu deity or God. In the digital world an avatar can be a two-dimensional icon representing a player in a game or it can be a digital representation of a scanned subject who can use this representation or avatar to enter and act within a diversity of virtual worlds or games.

Virtual Reality (VR) technology creates an immersive, computer-generated environment that allows you to interact with, enter the multiverse and become a Giant. using VR technology you will be able to speak, sing and showcase your head on our 4 metre tall – LED Giant head, become the biggest selfie ever! Our state-of-the-art scanning theatre also utilises Augmented Reality (AR) technology by overlaying digital elements to create your own full-body avatar that can be transported to any digital or real-life landscape.

The scanning process takes about 2 minutes and you can speak or sing. Your moving image will be mapped onto the Giant Head and you can experience yourself speaking or singing.
